Special Educational Needs and or Disabilities
At Varna Community Primary School we are committed to creating an inclusive environment to ensure that all children meet their full potential. We have a very knowledgeable and experienced staff who will support you and your child during their time at Varna. Currently there are six full time SEN/D Learning Support Assistants who work 1:1 with children and run regular targeted intervention groups across the school. We also have an in-house Speech and Language Therapist who works with staff, children and families once per week. In addition to this we work with a variety of external agencies to provide the correct support for your child. These include, but are not limited to, Educational Psycholgoists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Health visitors and the School nurse team. Our SEN/DCo Mrs D.Cheetham is always on hand to answer any questions or queries you may have.
