Year 4 2025 - 2026

Welcome to the Summer Term! 

We are very excited for all the learning, celebrations and visits we will be taking part in!

Please remember to write your child's name inside jumpers and cardigans, as this will help when uniform is lost. As we are active throughout the day, please send a water bottle. 

Reminders:

• Outdoor PE takes place on Wednesday afternoons. Please ensure your child has their kit.

• Swimming is on Thursday mornings. Children must bring their own simming hat. 

• Earrings should be studs only and must be removed before swimming.

• Homework is sent home on Thursday and should be returned on Tuesday. If your child needs help with homework, they should see their class teacher on a Friday. Homework consists on spelling, maths and reading as well as a cross-curricular menu of activities linked to current learning. 

Multiplication Tables Check (MTC)

The children will complete their MTC (Multiplication Tables Check) during the weeks commencing in summer term. They will be taken out in small groups to complete the test on iPads, which should take around 5 minutes.

The test includes a random selection of times tables from 2 to 12, and children will have 6 seconds to answer each question.

Now more than ever, daily practice at home is essential. Please support your child by encouraging regular times tables revision.
