Lunar New Year celebrations at Varna

Lesson: Religious education

We have loved celebrating Lunar New Year across school, with each year group taking part in creative and meaningful activities. Years 1 and 2 children made and decorated beautiful paper lanterns, Year 3 explored the Chinese Zodiac by creating masks and re-enacting the Lunar New Year story, and Year 4 created Year of the Horse paper chains. In Years 5 and 6, pupils designed symbolic Lunar New Year posters and wrote thoughtful explanations about their meanings.

We were proud to end our celebrations with a fantastic assembly, where children shared their learning and personal experiences of the festival. Thank you to the parents and carers who joined us -your support helped make the celebration even more special.

Please enjoy the photos showcasing our learning and creativity!IMG_2711.jpgIMG_2803.JPG
